Compensation Administration: A Walkthrough of the Compensation Cycle

Tuesday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

This training introduces participants to managing the compensation review cycle. Through discussions, demonstrations, and hands-on exercises, you’ll gain basic skills in using Compensation Management administrative functions, including cloning the implemented plan, adding new rating sources, adding custom fields, creating new budgets and guidelines, setting up eligibility rules, launching and updating forms, and generating reward statements.

The following items are not covered in this training:

1. EC integration
2. Integration with SAP HCM
3. Using API and connectors

This training session is ideal for:

1. Administrators who are preparing for implementation and are unfamiliar with the SAP SuccessFactors compensation module
2. Administrators who are already live and are preparing for their year-two compensation cycle
3. Administrators who would like a refresher on the core functionality of SAP SuccessFactors compensation

Recruiting Management Administration: Introduction to Recruiting Management

Tuesday, 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

This training will walk participants through the talent pipeline in the applicant-tracking system in the SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management solution. Through discussions, demonstrations, and hands-on exercises, you’ll start as the recruiter by creating and posting job requisitions; then, as a candidate, you’ll apply for a job through the internal career portal. Then, as the recruiter again, you will schedule interviews, move the candidate through the interviews, send offer approvals, make the offer to the candidate, initiate a background check, and finally, hire the candidate.

This session is designed for recruiters and recruiting management system administrators who need high-level recruiting process experience. No prior knowledge is needed; however, some experience with the SuccessFactors user interface is recommended.

Recruiting Management Administration - Working with Recruiting Management Templates

Tuesday, 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Using discussions, demonstrations, and hands-on exercises, this training will walk an administrator through the available recruiting templates, including job requisition, candidate profile, job application, and offer approval.

This session is designed for recruiting management system administrators. Participants should have experience with job requisitions, candidate profiles and applications, and offer approvals.

Online Report Designer: Creating Queries and Pivots on Employee Profile Data

Tuesday, 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

This training introduces participants to using the detailed reporting tool to create queries and pivots. Through discussions, demonstrations, and hands-on exercises, you’ll gain basic skills in creating queries, including calculated columns, filters, scope, and pivots.

Please note: This session will use data from Employee Profile. Data from other modules, including LMS, EC, and WFA will not be discussed.

This training is designed for report designers with limited experience using ORD or Detailed Reporting Tool.

Online Report Designer: Putting queries into reports and sharing the reports with users

Tuesday, 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

This training introduces the learner to creating and sharing reports using the Report Designer Tool. Through discussions, demonstrations, and hands-on exercises, you’ll learn how to create reports, and add the most commonly used components, including text, images, charts, and saved queries. You will also learn how to share reports via email, tile on the homepage, and the custom report menu.

Please note: This training session does NOT cover how to collect data for the report in a query; it will use pre-saved queries.

This session is designed for report designers with limited experience using ORD. Knowledge of how to create and save a query is recommended.

Onboarding: Managing the Administrative Process

Tuesday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

This training covers how to use onboarding tools to accommodate changes in your organization's business processes and workflow. Through discussions, demonstrations, and hands-on exercises, the training will focus on the key configuration components of the SuccessFactors Onboarding workflow, including security groups, data dictionary, PDF forms, panel designer, and wizards. Other topics will include notifications and hiring manager activities.

This session is designed for system administrators for onboarding.

Succession Management: Using the Position Nomination Method

Tuesday, 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

This training concentrates on the position nomination method, while introducing the learner to succession permissions, tools, and settings. Employee Central Advanced Features: Meta Data Framework and Business Rules

Tuesday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

This training is designed for experienced Employee Central users who want to learn more about the solution’s advanced features, including time off, position management, MDF custom objects, and business rules. As Employee Central shifts to managing information through MDF, customers will have the power to create and manage content directly in the instance. Participants will receive an introduction to these features and gain hands-on experience using MDF and business rules.

Prerequisite: Employee Central: Introduction to Administrative Functions and Employee Data, or significant experience with Employee Central.

This session is designed for system administrators who are familiar with Employee Central and want to learn more about its advanced features.

Introduction to SuccessFactors Learning Report Designer

Tuesday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

This training will cover the basics of using SuccessFactors Learning Report Designer to add columns to existing reports. We’ll discuss installing and configuring Report Designer, exporting SuccessFactors Learning reports, connecting Report Designer to a data source, finding SuccessFactors Learning database objects, writing simple SQL queries, and testing/publishing reports in SuccessFactors Learning. By the end of the training you will add “email address” and “organization description” to the Item Status report and publish it within SF Learning.

This session is designed for students who are comfortable making simple updates to SQL queries (e.g. adding tables, joining tables, and selecting columns from tables). The training does NOT include Online Report Designer (ORD); it covers the reporting tool within the LMS, which is independent of ORD.

This session is designed for LMS Administrators who want to add fields to SuccessFactors Learning system reports and are comfortable making minor SQL changes.

Performance Management: Performance Management v12 Acceleration Components and Managing the Performance Cycle

Tuesday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

This training introduces participants to the components of PMv12 Acceleration (pods, team overview, permissions) and how to manage the performance review cycle. Through discussions, demonstrations, and hands-on exercises, you’ll gain basic skills in using Performance Management administrative functions, including launching performance forms, deleting forms, manually routing forms, and using dashboards to follow the performance process.

This session is designed for system administrators for Performance Management who have an understanding of SuccessFactors Performance Management terms, concepts, and navigation.

Performance Management: Managing Performance Form Template and Competencies with Families and Roles

This training introduces the learner to the concepts of performance form templates, editing form settings, sections and fields, and configuring route map and rating scale. Through discussions, demonstrations, and hands-on exercises, you’ll gain basic skills in configuring and managing competencies with families and roles.

Recruiting Marketing: Introduction to Career Site Design and Career Site Builder

Tuesday, 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

In this training, participants will learn how to attract candidates and obtain more completed job applications by providing a fantastic user experience. Through discussions and demonstrations, and by examining live career site builder (CSB) career sites, you’ll learn about the standard inclusions for a recruiting marketing career site and the specific page components available in CSB. Best practices for job data formatting will also be discussed. Finally, you’ll become familiar with the decisions that you will make during implementation to convert your requirements into a responsive-design career site with mobile-device functionality.

This session is designed for talent acquisition managers, employment branding professionals, business and HR analysts, and recruiters.

Recruiting Marketing: Make Updates to Your Career Site Builder Website

Tuesday, 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

In this training, you’ll learn how to maintain a career site builder (CSB) site. Through discussions, demonstrations, and hands-on exercises, you will practice restricting permissions for various users so that marketing professionals can update images and copy on your site, for example, but not change system text or job-page layouts. You’ll add the various types of pages, and choose and customize components for those pages; learn how to update headers and footers to link to new pages and to external sites; and practice making changes to fonts, colors, favicon, and more, to match changes in your company's branding. You will also learn how to resize graphics so that images on your site fit precisely. Finally, you’ll learn about the activities that currently must be completed by consultants in the backend Command Center application, such as creating new categories and modifying email templates (these functions will be available in CSB at a later date).

Workforce Analytics: Beyond Reporting

Tuesday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

This training explains the concepts and terminology associated with SuccessFactors Workforce Analytics application. Through discussions, demonstrations, and hands-on computer lab work, you’ll build your skills and learn how to deploy the application to other users. Attendees will become familiar with the tools and functionality of SuccessFactors Workforce Analytics and discuss how to best deploy the application within an organization.

This session is designed for current administrators and core users of the Workforce Analytics module. Workforce Planning is NOT covered in this session.
